Selection, Improvement and Progress, our key words
Feudo Antico reflects the results of a team who work over the whole territory.
The grape producers, carefully selected, should respect some fixed parameters such as the position, the “terroir” and last but not least, the desire to challenge themselves to reach new goals.
The grape grower is the pivot of the activity. He is the centre of the training programs and of the technical assistance that persuade him to make radical choices, which will be rewarding in time: strict selection of the bunches, low yields per hectare and a reduced use of pesticides to preserve and to protect the environment.
Their objective of total quality demands sacrifices that start from the vineyard. The disciplinary of vinification requires that each variety be authorized only for the best territories registered on an individual sheet of the cadastre maps.
The rules also demand that winemaking is carried out only in the place of harvest. Grapes coming from vineyards located on the bottom of the valley, or on an altitude inferior to 80 metres are excluded.
In the winery the winemaking is carried out vineyard-by-vineyard and only at the moment of the formation of the Cuvée, the characteristics of the individual Cru blend and express their greatest complexity.
Feudo Antico wines express the many shades of the territory because in every glass there is something from every producer’s vineyard.
